TRAVEL AWARDS

The International Association for Comparative Research on Leukemia and Related Diseases announced a new program to assist junior faculty with limited access to travel funds to attend the XXIV Symposium in Columbus, Ohio, October 14-16, 2009.

Purpose: To encourage and facilitate the attendance of junior faculty whose research focuses on leukemia and related diseases in academic institutions.

Eligibility: Applicants must be within the first six years of their academic appointment in their institution and must hold an MD, PhD or equivalent degree.

Special Events: During the Symposium, allotted time to meet the distinguished faculty participating in the Symposium will be arranged. Award recipients will have the unique opportunity to have informal gatherings during breakfast or lunch with renowned leukemia experts and exchange ideas and research relating to hematologic malignancies.
